For years greenway activists in the northwest Bronx have been advocating for a greenway along the Hudson River that will connect to Manhattan and Westchester. Until the greenway is built, there is only one place in the Bronx where you can stand on the riverbank and admire the magnificent view across the Hudson to the Palisades, unchanged since the days of the Lenape people: on the property of the University of Mount St. Vincent, where our "Sunset on the Hudson" event will be held. There will be music and brief speeches about the importance and status of the long-proposed Hudson River Greenway in the Bronx, as well as the significance of access to the river.
