2009 Free Tall Ship Tour on the Clipper City
by Manhattan By Sail
A Tour to City of Water Day from South Street Seaport

2009

Capacity: 144

Partners: Manhattan by Sail

Join us for a shipboard experience you will remember for all of your life, as you board New York's only Tall Ship, the Clipper City, for a cruise of the Big Apple's famous harbor. Nothing will prepare you for the amazing sensation of being on one of America's largest sailing boats still in commercial operation today...160' feet long, with masts rising 120' off the water.

Enjoy stunning views of the Brooklyn Bridge as we get underway. Guests then pass close to the Statue of Liberty under the awesome power of the wind. Sweeping views also include Ellis Island, the Manhattan Skyline, the fortifications of Governors Island and Battery Park at the mouth of the Hudson River.

Rebuilt from original plans borrowed from the National Archives, the 160-foot Clipper City is the newest addition to the Manhattan skyline. A faithful replica of the clipper ships that plied America's waters more than a century ago, the Clipper City can accommodate 144 passengers and sails daily from Pier 17, South Street Seaport.
