
City of Water Day is a day for family fun and children's activities as well! Here is a list of what MWA is offering to all guests who attend City of Water Day. Don't miss your chance to take part in these fun, family-oriented (you can come with friends too!) events. 2009 Events included:
Tour of Army Corps of Engineers Boat, the Hayward
Come and take a tour of the 124-foot Hayward, the US Army Corps of Engineers Drift Collection Vessel. The function of this boat is to remove debris from the harbor (from driftwood to small planes and helicopters) to prevent damage to the hundreds of vessels that pass through our busy harbor everyday, in addition to helping the local environment. A touch tank of harbor critters and an exhibit of interesting debris are in the works!

Discover Governor’s Island and the Brooklyn Waterfront while biking and hunting car free. Governor’s Island stations may include: miniature gold; Fort Jay, Castle Williams, Yankee Pier, Fishing Outpost
